As a Psychological Associate in California, Griffen is in the final year of his doctoral program and is supervised by Dr. Barbara Burt. Griffen specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of challenges, from addiction recovery to improving communication, managing conflict, and addressing maladaptive behaviors. In addition to his clinical work at Rhombus Counseling, Griffen serves as the Director of Program Development for Claremont Counseling and Support Center and Chino Hills Counseling. He is also the lead author of Chances for Change, a behavioral skills-based program designed to help individuals develop healthier habits, improve decision-making, and enhance emotional resilience.
Griffen has extensive experience working with young adults, offering practical strategies for overcoming conflict, improving relationships, and managing stress. He also collaborates with organizations like the California Highway Patrol, MADD, and UCR, bringing educational programs like Every 15 Minutes and Start Smart to schools and communities.
